Garage Door Panel Repair in Tavernier
Tavernier openings fall into two groups for a panel repair: streets on the basin, and inland lots in the shade. Basin air wets the low edge. Inland shade holds rain at the seal and keeps sun off the face. That ruined panel can be changed while straight sections remain in the opening. A light dent may be kept, while repair follows a crease caught in a hinge, a split stile, or rust you can push through. Say basin or inland with the street, so the basin or inland side is clear.
Basin streets and inland shade
On a basin street the bottom panel meets standing water that has salt in it. Inland, the same bottom panel meets standing water that is mostly rain held in the shade. Both can open the lowest skin and leave the upper panels straight. A water stain on firm paint is only a note. Tell us which group you are in. A replacement bottom includes a new bottom seal for that exposure. When the panel above is soft, the leaf may be finished.
The US-1 row
Houses along the highway sit close in a line and differ in setback and in basin exposure. Give the street and a landmark you would give a guest. Height, hinge pattern, skin, and thickness are matched to your remaining panels. An edge stamp, or a photo of it, keeps a neighboring door out of the order. The opening is measured on the property. A road photo shows only how we get in, and it does not show the edge stamp.
Rust you can push through
If a finger goes through the steel, that panel should be repaired, provided the rest of the leaf is straight. A shallow dent the finger cannot enter can remain. A crease that has deformed a hinge should be repaired even when the skin is not yet rusted, and a split stile is the same call. Count upward from the floor when you name it. Basin rust is usually the bottom panel. An inland crease is often a car, higher on the leaf.
Wood, rated stacks, and the seal
Basin air makes a wood finish a maintenance fact and a steel skin a corrosion fact, so wood is not matched the way steel is. Say which material is on the opening. Highway glare is not a reason to drop an ordinary skin into a rated stack. Most doors on this row are steel. If the panel above a bad bottom is soft, say that before anyone assumes the visit is only a seal on skin that is already soft.
Photos and the callback
Send a photo of the closed door, a closer photo of the damage, and the edge stamp if you can take it from the floor. Note basin street or inland shade, and where you sit along the US-1 row. That return call sets the visit. The section is ordered after the measure, and the photo is what makes that measure the right stop instead of the next driveway farther down the row, an easy miss, so name basin or inland shade.

Common questions
How do basin streets differ from inland shade?
Basin streets put salt into the standing water at the seal. Inland shade holds rainwater there and blocks the sun. In both places the bottom panel can fail while the leaf above stays straight, so the note should name the exposure you have.
What should the Tavernier photo show before ordering?
Show the whole closed door, the damaged panel, and the edge stamp if you can reach it from the floor. Include enough stile to see how the hinges are arranged. Height, skin, and thickness are confirmed at the opening before the order.
Does a new bottom panel in Tavernier include a seal?
A replacement bottom usually includes a new bottom seal, because the old rubber lived in the same water as the skin. A soft panel directly above means the leaf may be finished. The seal is not a substitute for that larger fact here.
