Garage Door Panel Repair in Key West
Key West has cottage doors and doors on raised fill. Salt and west sun work the low edge and the face. A narrow lane changes where the van stands, not which panel failed. A single bad section can be changed while the straight remainder stays put. A shallow dent can remain if the skin is closed. Wood is its own match
Wood needs thickness, joint, and finish planned together, and salt plus west sun belong in that finish. That is a different match from steel. A steel section does not go onto a wood cottage door, and a wood panel is not the repair for a steel leaf on a fill house. Name the material in the first line of the request. A photo of the inside face keeps the order from assuming steel from an earlier steel opening nearby too.

Standing water and salt both reach the bottom panel, and on a raised house that low panel sits closer to weather than a panel inside a dry cottage garage. West sun fades the outside while an inside edge rusts or a wood joint opens. A firm dent can remain. Soft rust or a split stile should be repaired. The new cottage bottom usually gets a fresh seal. If the panel above is soft as well, the leaf may be finished.
Narrow lanes and two streets
North Roosevelt can take a van, while some lanes cannot, and White Street has its own pattern of approaches. Tell us the street, and say whether the opening is a cottage or a house on raised fill. The measurements are the same either way: height, hinge pattern, skin, and thickness matched to what remains. An edge stamp, or a photo of it from the floor, helps. A lane photo shows access, so the opening is measured for size and pattern.
Rated stacks on either building
Neither a cottage nor a house on raised fill can put an ordinary skin into a rated stack. Say if the door was sold as rated, and say whether windows cut the face, because the stile layout changes with them. West sun will make a new panel obvious for a while, and color alone is not the build we order. When only one section is creased or rusted and the rest is straight, that straight leaf stays on the opening.

Name the panel from the bottom, and say if you are looking at a crease, a split, rust you can push through, or a shallow dent you want judged. The two materials are not ordered alike. Wood is planned around joint, thickness, and finish, with salt and west sun included. Steel is matched by height, hinge pattern, skin, and thickness. Say which face is on the cottage or the fill house.
Why does the lane belong in a Key West panel request?

Does west sun by itself retire a Key West panel?
