About this work
Homeowners from Key West to Kendall are handed brochures with design-pressure numbers. The numbers come from a laboratory test of a door, its track, and its reinforcing, built a certain way. They do not migrate onto a different jamb because the new skin looks similar. This corridor is a high-velocity hurricane zone in the building conversation. That fact makes the question reasonable. It does not answer it.
Three things the label is about
The leaf, the hardware that was part of the test, and the way that test assembly was anchored. Change the track to a low-headroom kit, leave off a strut, or lag the track into soft wood, and you are no longer looking at the tested assembly. Three things the label is not
It is not a forecast. It is not a statement about the roof, the impact windows, or the piers. It is not paperwork filed with anyone. If an insurer or a building official wants a document, that request stays with the property owner. This company does not describe a filing status.
Glass rows and overlays
A row of windows or a decorative overlay can take an ordinary-looking door out of the rated options, or it can be part of a rated build if that exact configuration was tested. The honest sequence is measure, then specification, then a yes or a no. A photo of a door on a different coast is not a specification.

Our windows are impact-rated. Is the garage door included?
No. The garage opening is its own assembly. Window labels do not transfer.
Can you tell me the design pressure for my lot from the mile marker?
No. Exposure and the structure are site-specific. A mile marker is a useful address. It is not an engineering input this page will pretend to calculate.
