South Dade
Goulds doors are often older leaves on an established corridor.
About this area
Goulds lines US-1 between more famous neighbors. The houses are frequently older slab homes on modest lots, with sectionals that have been painted several times and hardware that has simply reached the end of its cycles. This is not the Redland's acreage and not Cutler Bay's incorporated town pattern.
- Road
- US-1 corridor and the residential blocks just off it
- Housing
- Older single-family slab homes
- Role
- An established community between Cutler Bay and Princeton
Older leaves, available sections
A bottom section on a twenty-year steel door may still be matchable, or it may not. The edge stamp decides. A photo of that stamp is more useful than a description of the color.
Corridor access
US-1 traffic is the constraint, not a bridge. A driveway that backs straight onto the highway needs a note so the van is not the thing blocking a lane.
Common questions
Is Goulds the same page as Princeton?
No. They are neighbors along the corridor and the housing is not identical. Use the community you would give a relative.
Do you assume every Goulds door is obsolete?
No. Plenty still balance and still reverse. Age is not a diagnosis.
