About this area
Key Largo is the largest island in the chain and the first one after Florida City's highway choice. It holds neighborhoods, a commercial spine, and the northern communities near Ocean Reef's gate without this page claiming that private community. A single 'Key Largo' label covers too many miles of US-1.

Give a mile marker or a subdivision
Ocean Isle, Sunset, the bayside subdivisions, the crossings near the state botanical site: these are different runs. A mile marker plus a side of the road is enough if you do not know the subdivision's formal name.
First island, still an island
Parts are closer to the mainland here than they are in Key West. They are not in the driveway. We still wants the spring layout before the truck leaves Florida City.
Common questions
Does this page include the private north-end community behind a gate?
No. If a guard gate controls the street, say that plainly and do not put the gate code in the form. Access has to be arranged by a person.
Is Port Largo the same note as the rest of the island?
Name Port Largo if that is the basin you are on. It places the van better than the island name alone.
